Bringing Your Autos Back to Life
Good Ol’ Days comes from Grass roots and was destined to be from the start. Owner Tommy Eure
grew up knee deep in automobile influences. His Grandfather was a machinist and a mechanic. His father also was a mechanic and restored model A fords for a hobby and Tommy started his training and his love for automobiles at the age of 8 beside his Father and Grandfather.
Tommy started his first job as a mechanic at the age of 16 and bought his first car (1953 Chevy sedan, which he still owns today) and has over 46 years experience. He worked in the Newport news ship yards for 6 years and this was where he began his machinist training.
His love for automobiles drew him back to the automotive world and he has been doing it ever since. He went to work in a shop that Restored corvettes for 2 years and then moved on to Moore’s auto and speed shop for 7 years. Tommy moved to Texas in 1993 and opened Good Ol’ Days Garage in Leon Valley outside of San Antonio and has since moved to the Kerrville area and has had the shop in Ingram and now is in Kerrville. Good Ol’ Days has been in business for 21 years and now he has joined forces with his son Brandon and added a Custom Bike shop to the business.
Tommy has a private collection of automobiles that include: 1953 Chevy sedan (his first car), 1953 Chevy Sedan Delivery, 1948 Chevrolet Fleet line Aero, 1950 Chevy business coupe ( Drag car running high 11’s in the quarter with 434c.i and turbo 400), 1956 2 door sedan 150, 1956 GMC step side (shop truck) and a 2006 Harley Road King.Brandon
, Tommy’s son and now Co-owner of Good Ol’ Days cut his teeth in the garage with Tommy since the day he could help at the age of 6 and has 21 years experience. Brandon is an all around mechanic and the motor rebuild. Brandon has raced round track and drag races, built and restored his own cars and motorcycles.
